Floors in Woodbury
Builder sealers on newer slabs
Homeowners here commonly ask for finished garages, basement rec rooms and home gyms, and some contractors also handle newer retail and medical buildings.
Newer garage slabs often carry a curing compound or clear sealer from the builder, which looks fine but can keep a coating from bonding. Grinding to an open profile is the safe approach, followed by a water drop or moisture test before priming.
When to install: Attached garages in newer homes may hold some warmth, but slab temperature still drops in deep winter. Late spring through early fall is the comfortable window, and fall installs let the floor cure fully before salt season.
Getting supplies: Woodbury orders ship from U.S. Resin Supply nationwide, with shipping added to the order. The closest of our 10 stores is U.S. Resin Supply – Montgomery in Montgomery, IL, about 383 driving miles away.
